毘沙門天
毘沙門天は、仏教において天部に属する仏神。仏法を護る護法善神の一人。四天王や十二天に数えられ、北の方角を守護しています。四天王として祀られる際は「多聞天（たもんてん）」という名で呼ばれます。また、毘沙門天は戦の神様であり、勝利をもたらすとされるほか、七福神の一柱に数えられ、様々な福徳を授けて下さる福の神でもあります。特に日本の戦国武将、上杉謙信が信仰していました。
Bishamonten
Bishamonten is a Buddhist deity belonging to the heavenly realm. He is one of the guardian deities of Buddhism. He is counted among the Four Heavenly Kings and the Twelve Heavenly Kings, and protects the north. When worshipped as one of the Four Heavenly Kings, he is called "Tamonten." Bishamonten is also the god of war and is said to bring victory. He is also counted as one of the Seven Lucky Gods and is a god of fortune who bestows various blessings. He was particularly worshipped by the Japanese warlord Uesugi Kenshin.
