〜それは平安京にあった〜
~It was in Heian-kyo~
・西七条エリア
宅間派の工房はかつて平安京七条二坊にあった。現在のJR梅小路駅から西へ行った西七条付近
・仏画工房
宗派を問わない寺子屋のように子供から大人まで、老若男女、世代を問わず集まれる場所を目指す。
・生涯学習の場
純粋に仏画を描きたい、とにかく一度は描いてみたいを応援し叶 える場所として。また心の修養場として。
・Nishi Shichijo area
The Takuma School workshop was once located in the Heian-kyo Shichijo Nibo area, near Nishi Shichijo, west of the current JR Umekoji Station.
・Buddhist painting workshop
We aim to create a place where people of all ages, genders, and generations can gather, from children to adults, like a temple school that is open to all sects.
・A place for lifelong learning
It is a place to support and fulfill those who simply want to paint Buddhist paintings, or who just want to paint at least once. It is also a place for spiritual training.
工房であり、寺子屋のようでもあり、サロンでもあった。
It was a workshop, a temple school, and a salon.
鳳凰が降り立つ平安京。東寺と西寺にある五重の塔に出迎えられ、羅城門を潜って朱雀大路を北に進む。西市を目指し西へ向かうと、市場では人々が賑わいを見せます。そんな姿を横目に七条二坊四保一五に宅間派の工房はありました。そこでは日夜仏画の制作が行われていました。時には近所の子供達の学び場の姿を見せ、時には茶を交えて大人たちが社会について語る。過去、現在、未来の国の行末を見守りながらそこに存在していました。西寺という西の 結界が破られ平安京が未完成の状態が続くと、そこは呪いのように蝕まれ、やがて京自体も衰退して行ったのです。十方に浄土おおけれど西方を願うは十悪五逆の衆生の生まるる故なり。
太陽の沈む方向ー彼岸に想いを寄せ西方を守護する要となりますように。
A phoenix descends upon Heian-kyo. Greeted by the five-story pagodas of Toji and Saiji, we pass through Rajomon Gate and head north along Suzaku-oji. Heading west toward Nishiichi, we pass bustling people in the marketplace. With this view in sight, the Takuma School workshop at Shichijo 2-bo 4-ho 15 was located. Buddhist paintings were being produced there day and night. Sometimes it offered a place for local children to learn, and other times adults would chat about society over tea. It existed there, watching over the country's past, present, and future. When the western barrier of Saiji Temple was broken and Heian-kyo remained unfinished, it corroded like a curse, and eventually the capital itself declined. Though the Pure Land stretches in all directions, we pray to the west because it is there that sentient beings who have committed the ten evil deeds and five cardinal sins are born.
May our thoughts be directed toward the equinox—the direction of the setting sun—and become the key to protecting the west.
